Taking a puppy on a walk isn’t just about getting them some exercise—it’s a crucial part of building a strong foundation for obedience! 🐕🚶♀️ Whether you're teaching leash manners, exposing them to new environments, or allowing them to explore, walks provide an excellent opportunity for training and bonding.

Here’s how to make the most out of each walk with your puppy:
✅ Start with short, calm walks to help them focus.
For a young puppy, it's important not to overwhelm them with long walks right away. Start slow, and keep the walks calm to help your puppy learn to stay focused and enjoy the experience.
✅ Use treats or praise to reward good behavior.
Positive reinforcement goes a long way in training. Reward your puppy for walking calmly by your side, not pulling, or listening to commands. Treats, toys, or verbal praise can help reinforce the desired behaviors.
✅ Gradually introduce distractions like other dogs or people.
